Acoustic Movable Walls

Acoustic Movable Wall Systems

At AEG Partitions, we’re a well-respected and highly experienced manufacturer of acoustic movable wall systems. We create and install operable wall systems in a wide range of environments, including schools, colleges, hospitals, offices and much more.

With more than 30 years of experience in this industry, we’re a well-oiled machine with a reliable process and an excellent reputation. Our acoustic movable walls can be created and installed in short timeframes anywhere within the UK, making us a reliable go-to option for anybody let down by another company.

Movable walls for commercial spaces

Our Teachwall 100 movable wall system satisfies the most stringent requirements a user may demand from movable walls.

This model requires no floor track and meets wheelchair access requirements. All movable wall panels run smoothly along their ceiling track, on ball-bearing trollies, ensuring ease of operation whether you’re creating a separate area or putting the wall system away.

Acoustic movable walls have a wonderful life span because of their rigidity, robustness, and our integrated safety features, which assist in their operation. Versatile stacking arrangements are available if requested.

Our movable walls have excellent acoustic properties, which are ideal for busy areas like a hospital, classroom or an office space. In terms of sound insulation, our acoustic walls are the obvious choice, with sound insulation ranging from 37 to 60 dB.

It’s fully compliant with BB93 for acoustics in schools and is specified regularly by leading architects and designers.

The Teachwall 100 benefits from a specially made steel self-supporting frame structure, which can achieve heights of more than 15 meters. Operated by a specialist scissor jack mechanism, it ensures the greatest possible stability and the highest degree of soundproofing.

Durable operable wall systems

Durability is a key component in any acoustic movable wall system. As they’re typically required in high-traffic areas, our movable walls will encounter some level of rough handling at some point. This is why they must be able to withstand wear and tear over many years. As well as looking the part, you can rely on our acoustic movable partition walls to be a reliable addition to your professional setting.

They boast a panel thickness of 100mm; you can be assured that our sliding room dividers will stand the test of time, as well as perform the noise-cancelling role that’s expected of them. Each of our products is made to a suitable thickness that doesn’t compromise their appearance and simplicity to re-position, but still guarantees high-quality noise-dampening performance.

    Acoustics Movable Wall FAQs

Movable walls are floor-to-ceiling panels that can be easily adjusted to change the arrangement of a room.

They can singlehandedly transform an area into several smaller areas with minimal effort. For example, you can divide the school hall into separate areas or split a large conference room into multiple meeting rooms. And, when your movable walls aren’t in use, they can be easily folded, moved or concealed – without taking up too much space.

Yes, our acoustic movable wall systems achieve a sound rating of between 37 and 60dB. This means loud noises from the other side of the wall will be drowned out.

If multiple activities are being held simultaneously in an indoor space, movable walls are the go-to option to give each some privacy and order.

The acoustic qualities of our movable walls are what make them so popular for educational facilities and office spaces. The noise-dampening benefits of these partitions allow for work to be completed in an orderly, efficient way.

Acoustic movable wall systems can be installed in a wide range of locations, including:

    • Churches
    • Educational establishments, e.g. schools, colleges and universities
    • Hospitals and doctors surgeries
    • Hotels
    • Offices
    • Warehouses and factories

A huge bonus is that all of our movable wall partitions are manufactured in-house, and we offer a bespoke design service for interior designers and architects. So, if you’re wondering whether you can install movable walls elsewhere, be sure to get in touch.

At AEG Partitions, we keep our prices competitive – ensuring you get maximum value for your money. Four factors determine the cost of movable walls:

    1. Materials
    2. Operation (i.e. sliding or folding)
    3. Ceiling height
    4. Complexity of installation

Door panels often cost more than standard flat panels, and taller panels, made from various materials, will be priced higher than those made from one consistent material.

In addition to the price of movable walls, you also need to factor in labour. And, the more complex the installation, the more it will cost.
